Going Back to Cali

The race is really close now. In some senses I'm pretty relaxed with the knowledge that I've done this before, but then there's still a little fear of what might lie ahead. I want everything to go perfectly, but just about the only given is that it most certainly won't. My biggest fear at this point is probably not being as focused as I want, so I'll try to concentrate on this over the next few days.

Phil and his daughter left with the pace van on Sunday, so they're probably in Colorado by now. It's a relief to have everything packed and on it's way. I leave tomorrow at 6am, and the rest of the crew will arrive Saturday at various times.
