Update

Troy and I picked Kevin up in Trinidad, CO around 11:30 am race time. Kevin passed about 4 people today. He passed Julian Saanz, Rob Morlock, and a couple others. He is currently in 5th. We got Kevin into Ulysses, KS. He stayed fueled up on a McDonald's big breakfast, 2 egg mcmuffins, pop tarts, grape soda (crush, which is exactly what Kevin did today, he crushed it!)and vault (he loves this stuff). We go back on shift in Yates Center, KS. Please leave comments, we read them to Kevin to keep him motivated, and he likes to hear from everyone.

  1. Kevin,
I found this blog via reading about Jeff Bauer and your RAAM run a few years ago. I ride with Jeff regularly in mid TN, and can't imagine doing some of the stuff he's done. I ride "a lot" and you've raced half the miles I've done all year in less than 5 days. Amazing and inspiring.

Go pick off the next guy!

  3. Was Morlock hallucinating when you passed him? However, the Rumor in Augusta is that you have accelerated your pace because you want to finish and return to Augusta in time so you don't miss the Saturday parade! Go pick off the rest of those guys, lol :) hehe... Go Kevin!

  5. I will have an Egg McMuffin in your Honor with my cup of Java this AM at work. I have printed off all your "stuff" to share with our co-workers and customer. Press on my friend. A quote to motivate you from the Helen Keller....."Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." What could be more daring??? Be safe.

  7. Hi Kevin and crew,

It sounds like Kaiser is rolling now!!! I can't believe we used to ride around the neighborhood together and now you are taking it across America. I am so proud to know you and brag about you all the time. Keep it going and keep crushing!

    Good luck,
    Eric
